These terms apply to everyone who accesses beakerboys.com or buys from Beaker Boys. Please read them together with our Research-use policy, Shipping & returns and Privacy policy.
1. Eligibility
By accessing or purchasing from this website, you represent and warrant that you are:
- At least 18 or 19 years of age, depending on the age of majority in your province or territory, and
- A qualified academic, researcher or institution purchasing products solely for legitimate laboratory research purposes.
2. Research use only
All products sold on this website are intended for laboratory research purposes only. They are not intended for human or animal consumption, medical use, diagnostic use, therapeutic use or any other non-research purpose.
3. Regulatory status
Products sold are not approved by Health Canada, the U.S. FDA or any other regulatory body for medical, veterinary or food use. The buyer acknowledges that these products are unregulated research chemicals and agrees to use them strictly in compliance with applicable laws.
4. Orders, pricing and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars. We ship to addresses in Canada only.
- Payment is by Interac e-Transfer. Orders are held until payment is received and are cancelled automatically if payment has not arrived within about 48 hours.
- We may refuse or cancel any order, including where we have reason to believe these terms will not be followed. If we cancel an order that has been paid, we will refund the payment.
5. Buyer responsibilities
The buyer assumes full responsibility for:
- The safe handling, storage and use of products.
- Ensuring that research use complies with local, provincial and federal regulations.
- Preventing misuse, resale or redistribution for non-research purposes.
6. No warranties
Products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
The seller, its owners and affiliates shall not be held liable for any damages, losses or claims arising out of or related to the misuse, handling or unintended application of products.
8. Indemnification
The buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the seller, its directors, employees and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities or costs arising from the buyer’s purchase, handling, storage or use of the products.
9. Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
10. Acceptance
By accessing and/or completing a purchase on this website, the accessor and/or buyer confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
